Cebu to host 2nd RP-Russia business forum set on Oct. 21-24

CITY, July 12 (PNA) –- Cebu will host the 2nd Philippine-Russia Business
Forum and Exhibition on Oct. 21-24 at the Cebu international Convention
Center (CICC) in Mandaue City which is aimed at promoting exchanges
between the two countries.
According to Philippine Consul to Russia Armi Lopez Garcia,
the event is being organized to promote tourism, trade, investment and
greater economic and socio-cultural exchanges between the Philippines
and Russia.
The opening ceremony will be highlighted by the unveiling of
the Leo Tolstoy bust, which will be brought here by the Russian
delegates.
”This year’s forum promises to be a useful venue for
prestigious business groups to network and explore opportunities that
will expand trade and investments between the two countries,” said
Russian ambassador to the Philippines Vitaly Vorobiev.
The four-day event will feature a Philippine-Russian trade
exhibition, an art show, photo exhibit and cultural dances.
The exhibit will showcase products and services related to
the following industries: tourism, wellness, trade promotion and
development, mining, energy, education, culture, labor, placement
services, outsourcing, retirement facilities and real estate
development.
Business sessions and roundtable discussions on the
different industries will be held simultaneously.
Investors, real estate developers, businessmen, exporters
and importers, national government agencies, and local government units
from both countries are expected to attend the forum.
Participants will also be toured in cement factories, food
manufacturing plants, development areas, beer brewery, export furniture
companies, jewelry makers and real estate properties and other
