DOT-6 invites tourism stakeholders to 4th Travel Exchange

ILOILO CITY, July 3 (PNA) -– The Department of Tourism (DOT) is inviting the various tourism stakeholders to join in the 4th Travel Exchange to be held at the Robinson’s Place here in Iloilo city on August 28-30, 2009.

DOT Regional Dir. Edwin Trompeta said that the event could provide them with opportunities to meet their buyers from all over the Philippines, including those from Metro Manila, Cebu and Davao.

He said this would allow them to see what Western Visayas could offer in terms of the hotels, resorts and other facilities.

“The event is a marketing strategy to help the local tourism stakeholders become more aggressive in selling their establishments,” Dir. Trompeta said.

He said to be presented during the affair are the various adventure and water sports, holiday cruise programs, airlines with low fares and travel accessories that could be availed of by the tourists.
